Wunisko: seems much more plausible. There's a bunch of Middle Age women using this first name, for example, Unisco Godinhes ("Unisco, Godinho's daughter"), Unisco Pais ("Unisco, Paio's daughter"), Unisco Viegas ("Unisco Egas' daughter": Viegas is a patronymic of Arabic origin, Viegas<Veegas<Evenegas<Ebenegas< Ibn Egas).

That does make sense. The etymology I've given (*Wunisko:) is supported
by Holthausen, who however doesn't explain the suffix.
