It puzzles me how -ni- is supposed to illustrate the development of -nw-
to -u-. Id also like to see a real-world example of "metathesis" turning
-nu- into -mi-. You call it plausible, but it looks anything but
plausible to me. It may look good on paper, but if articulator features
were free to migrate like that, changes like tu > pi would happen at
least occasionally; yet I've never seen anything of the sort.
