Since there's no other evidence for any o-grade in
*ster-, etc., and there are so many possibilities to
account for the Albanian words (borrowing or strange
changes similar to related languages but without ev.
in any other Albanian words) I strongly prefer e not
o. Assuming Albanian and Greek both retain a word <
PIE then *steribhuxwos is almost guaranteed by Greek
evidence. If it was just early borrowing from Greek
to Albanian, that would also obviate any need for an
*o in PIE.
