I meant the Balto-Slavic acute (whatever be its specific
interpretation -- as a segmental or a suprasegmental unit), in this
case induced by *g (Winter's Law). In Balto-Slavic reconstructions
the tone (acute vs. non-acute) is distinctive and so usually marked,
even if notation varies (I used '?' as the most ASCII-friendly
variant).
