As mentioned a long time ago, the Botai discoveries
only indicate that horse domestication (taming plus
for the purists) occurred within a few centuries in
the expanses of the Eurasian steppes. Hard to say
where this happened "first". In any case certainly not
in Botai as we know it today, since Dereivka is older
by hundreds of years.
