But...if this name is pre-Germanic and pre-Balto
Slavic? She could be a Pre-IE goddess *Ziwa, Siwa or
SiBa, "germanized" as Sibjo:, and "slavized" as Ziva,
Z^iva.
I think the meaning of Sif as "sibling" still
unexplained. All we know about Sif is that she was an
Asynja, was Thorr's wife and had golden-hair (actually
a golden-whig).
