It's not just superficially similar; there's also
Greek "a law" thesmós, etc. < *thethmós < *dhedhH1mós.

There are many possibilities but I think the most
likely is (because of other fem. names in -tis):

thémtis thémtios
thémits thémitos metathesis (avoid mt)
thémist thémitos metathesis (no -ts at time)
thémist thémistos analogy
thémis thémistos t>0/_#
