but I'm guessing there's been some assimilation from /p/ > /b/
and that it's related to Slavic pivo, piwo, etc.

<traho> is also one of them. They are also remarkable in that _all_ of
them contain /a/ next to the liquid; at least I'm not aware of any that
don't.
