Most of these examples of o-derounding are found in
Andrew Sihler's _New Comparative Grammar of Greek and
Latin" and more can be found there (though I don't
think he gets everything concerning this correct).

The order is fairly important (there are waves of
rounding and derounding from various environments).

e>o by some kW, gW, etc.

e>o before w

dh>th>T>f

gW>gw

gw>w

o>a before w (sporadic)

o>a after a rounded or labial C (sporadic)

e>o before L (velar liq.)

e>o by various

Ex.:

o>a before w

VL cavus, covus; Gk kóoi (hollows)
L caveo:; Gk koéo:
L faveo:, foveo: (cherish < *warm *dhogWheye-)
L lavo:; Gk loéo:

o>a after a rounded or labial C

L quattuor *(kWe->kWo->kWa->kwa-)
L faber < *dhobhro-s
L pars < *porti-s
L mare < *mori
L maneo: *moneye-

and *bhorzdha:x > *forfa: > barba was my own.
