They do try to show it, but completely fail to account for the fact that
*degH- and *dHegH- types of roots contrast e.g. in Italic and Germanic.
They don't even discuss the evidence that contradicts their speculation!
Besides, it's quite obvious that the Greek and Indic versions of
Grassmann's Law are independent changes (analogy, not homology):
