Vladimir Orel has assumed an Albanian version of Winter's law to
connect "boj" ("bova", "bue") 'drive away' with the group of
Gr. "phóbos", Slavic "be^z^ati" etc. (A concise historical grammar of
the Albanian language: reconstruction of Proto-Albanian, 2000, p. 9).

Apart from that I vaguely recall that there is an article by Hamp
experimenting with Winter's law to make sense of certain problems in
Albanian, but I've lost the reference.

I've no idea whether or not this is any good.

Best,

Willem
