In general: Danish (which BTW is one of the Germanic languages) has a
group genitive, but no -s plural. There is not much chance that the
group genitive -s is from 'hans' "his".

Even German has generalised the masc./neut. gen. -s to fem. in the
case of personal names: Annas etc
