I have, though not in order to learn about Grassmann but to see if your
claim was somehow supported by the Wiki article. The info is generally
reliable, though as is often the case with the Wikipedia, there are some
minor errors (and the "Linguist" section is, regrettably, far too
brief). For example, Grassmann is credited with work on the Ayurveda (a
dictionary and translation), whereas his actual magnum opus is the
_Wörterbuch zum Rig-Veda_ (Leipzig, 1873), of which the sixth edition
(enlarged and revised) was published just ten years ago.
