*ped- `foot'.
I. Lengthened e-grade form *pe:d-. 1a. Alb. <posh> `down' from
locative plural *pe:d-su `at the feet'; b. Prefixed form <për-
posh> `downwards', <te-posh-të> `id.'. c. Recently added locative
singular form <poshtë> `down', <poshtë e lart/poshtë e përpjetë> `up
and down'. 2a. Comparative adjective form <i/e posh-tër> `ignoble,
infamous'; b. Abstract noun <poshtër-si> `infamy, dirtyness'; c.
Verb firn <poshtër-oj> `to humiliate, demean', verbal noun
<poshtërim> `humilation'. 3. Prefixed and suffixed form <m-posh-
t> `to put someone under the feet, to conquer, overcame, subdue',
abstract noun <mposht-je> `defeat'.
II. Lengthened o-grade form *po:d-. 1. Alb. <putër> `foot, paw, pad'
from *po:d-er > *poud-er. 2. Alb. <shputë> `foot, sole, hoof, toe,
slap' from compound form *su-+ *po:d-eH2 > sHpoud-eH2. 3. Alb.
<këput> `to cut the feet, to break, fall' from prefixed form *ko(m)-
+ po:d-o > *kopout-o, other form with intensive prefix <sh-
këput> `to detach, disunite'. (Pokorny pe:d- 790.)

*pa:l- `to touch, feel, shake'. Oldest form *peH2l-, colored to
*paH2l-, contracted to *pa:l-. 1. Alb. <qepallë> `eyelid' from
prefixed form qe-*pH2l-eH2 (cf. Latin palebra `id.'). 2.
<përpëlitem> `to writhe, fly around' is possibly from reduplicated
form *pal-pal-it-mai with dissimilation l – l > r – r or maybe from
prefixed form *pro-pal 3. <flutër> `butterfly' from s-mobile
metathesized extended form *s-pla:t-ureH2 > PAlb *sploutura: (cf.
Latin papilio `id.'). 4. <flatër> `wing' from *s-plH2-ter, a
substantivized comparative adjective.
Note: Cimochowski's view that Alb. <qepallë> should be a loan from
Slavic <klepalo> `id.' seems plausible, but only for Tosk dialect.
Cluster –kl- in Gheg was usually reduced in simple velar /k/ or, in
some cases, in <k-j>, but never underwent palatalization.

Any help?
