There's also a possibility that the oldest form is indeed *Ho:k'u- if one
would want to link this root to *h1ek'wos. The "horse" should thus be "a
swift animal". If mouse is a stealer and wolf a bad animal, this shouldn't
be impossible. However, I would also rather reconstruct *Heh3k'u-
probably...
