Vedic directly proves the existence of the verb *ni-sed- 'sit down,
rest' and of the corresponding root noun (both are attested already in
the RV). If you think such evidence makes no big difference for the
analysis of *nisdo- (as opposed to the more speculative interpretation
of *-sd- in general), what else can I say?
