Well, it was a guess rather than a proper scholarly analysis, but I
still think something along those lines might be the best etymology of
the name. My suggestion was *pari-arya- 'true Arya, thoroughly Aryan'
(with the meaning of *pari- < *peri- as in Skt. pari-pri: 'very dear' or
pari-sakHya- 'true friendship'), with lambdacism-cum-dissimilation (i.e.
*r'..r' > *l..l > r..l).
