Dear colleagues,
I'd like to ask for your suggestions on the following matter. We are
preparing the volume (in series "Languages of the World") devoted to the
Relict languages of the Near East which would contain the comprehensive
articles about all ancient non-Indo-European and non-Semitic languages of
the region at least minimally attested. Most articles are currently written
but we still have no authors for Hattic language and scarcely attested
languages of Kaskis and Kassites.
So could you recommend good specialists in these languages or maybe such
specialists are subscribed to the list and ready to write one or all of the
articles?
For any case the list of all articles of that volume is followed (maybe
someone could offer additional "candidatures"):
General article (about language situation in the Ancient Near East)
Sumerian
Elamitic
Hurrian
Urartian
Hattic
Kaskian
Kassite
Pisidian
Indus Valley Language
Thanks in advance,
