I have a rule that only the first tone on a word
remains (after changes such as á > ó occurred) so I
don't think this part is an innovation.

Do you agree this comes from an older form with
accent on the first syllable?

I have Germanic in the same "branch" as Greek and
Vedic (though the group with the most surviving
languages by far).

|____/_______|________/
\ Arm /
\___/

V various
Arm Armenian
Kal Kalasha
Khow Khowar (-war)
Nur Nuristâni (-viri, including Kalasa-alâ)

These languages all share changes that allow accent
on some syllabic C, allowing accent to move to them in
other cases by analogy.

There probably was some relevant analogy before PIE
split into varying dialects:

deceit death
nom. gen. nom. gen.

dhréuks dhrughós mwé:rs murtós
dhréuks dhrughós mé:rs murtós
dhrúks dhrughós múrs murtós

Then in the main group:

death wolf
nom. gen. nom. gen.

múrs murtós x^úlkWos x^ulkWós(ye)
mwr's mwrtós x^wl'kWos x^wlkWós(ye)

Now with consonants accentable analogy with accented
affixes takes place (also probably septm').

The analogy of [dhréuks dhrughós mwé:rs murtós]
now can extend to give analogical nom. words that
originally had no ur/ul, etc., like *krp- "body".

The extension must have been continuing as the
break-up went on: Greek sarks "flesh" should be
*tarks if from PIE *twr'k^s (as in tetra- w>0 between
C and syllabic C).

twórk^s turk^ós kWétwores kWétur-
twórk^s twrk^ós kWétwores kWétwr-
twórk^s trk^ós kWétwores kWétr-
tyórk^s trk^ós kWétyores kWétr-
tšórk^s trk^ós kWétšores kWétr-
šórk^s trk^ós kWétšores kWétr-
sórk^s trk^ós kWétsores kWétr-
sórk^s tark^ós kWétsores kWétra-
sórk^s tark^ós kWéssores kWétra-
sárk^s tark^ós kWéssares kWétra-
sárk^s sark^ós kWéssares kWétra-

sárks sarkós téss/ttares tétra-
