The *h1 cannot be a palatal. Let's end that now.
It's more likely simple _plain_ *h or glottal stop,
in alignment with _plain_ *k, so why don't we just
write it that way.
Second of all, on this forum, the standard has
become that *H is for superscript h, or rather
aspiration. Hence *gH is the supposed "voiced
aspirate" but *gh would be two phonemes, *g and
*h.
I know you love your tradition but you have to move
on now.
