Yes, and so you can see the great potential for
confusion for many a French speaker. This entire
'plural conundrum' is completely unreflected in
the pronunciation yet again.

Ah, but then, with the advent of the internet, I
notice that spelling deviancy is becoming more and
more kommon :)
