See too Rom. "dârdâi" ( < *dardari or *dr.dr.-) and Alb. "dridhur" with
the same meaning of "tremble".
I guess here we have two distinct root, *ter- and *dar-

In my opinion, they are not separate roots.
 
The original root is *der-; *ter- is a result of *s-mobile + *der = (s)ter-, from which the *s- has subequently been lost (Siebs' Law).
