Buck's "Synonyms" (citing Walde-Pokorny) has simply "Grk.
'morphe' etym.?". I thought of Lat. 'forma' and indeed for this Buck
has " etym. dub. Connection with Grk. 'morphe', either by borrowing
and transposition of consonants (through Etruscan?) or otherwise is
possible."
