I am delighted to know that people have taken note of what my
favorite roots are. They will probably also know that I suspect
Møller was right in positing some type of bh/p etc alternation (by
some Verner-type mechanism?). In which case Miguel's analysis (that
was indeed the one I referred to) won't alienate Germanic *bi
from 'international' *bhi (and all the other 'water' stuff).
