That's what we have been led to believe ever since 1978, but in that
connection I've got another question. I vaguely remember a
publication discussing Albanian examples that might be attributed to
Winter's law. Unfortunately I've lost every trace of it and I would
dearly love to read it again. Can anybody help me?
[Orel in his "Concise Historical Grammar" attributes one or two
Albanian examples to Winter's law, but it wasn't that, or so I
think.]
