I fully agree here.
Irish has not changed to English, for sure.
Dacian has not changed to Latin.
But Irish people lost his language and use English in place;
Dacian people lost his language and use Latin in place.
And for sure this process passed via a Bilinguistical Period.
Something similar starts to happen today inside European Union.
After several hundreds years some "Albanians" will still preserve
their language, mainly due to their isolation.
But the great majority of "Romanians" will forget their original
language.
