There is a word for shoes : *ker(&)p.
Otherwise they must have been naked.
Or else they wore past participles, from verbs for
weaving: *weg *webh *bher
covering : *sk'ed *(s)keu *k'em *(s)kep *(s)teg
etc
Or else they committed ablaut, and made nouns from those verbs (e.g. toga)
