It was, I vaguely recall, in November or december 2002. The manuscript
was claimed to carry an early thirteenth-century date. Judging by
pictures that appeared in the press or on the web the type of Albanian
was surprisingly recent, as was the palaeography, and if I remember
correctly, the cognoscenti decided within hours if not minutes that
a "C" failed in the date, making it an eighteenth-century manuscript.
