Dear George,
I answer just to fill the list without having in mind any underlying
opinion. I answer just as a friend to friend and nothing else.
Nevertheless, issue that you rise about the river name Dnister was
to much interesting to me. I am aware that not only in SEE or Balkan
exists many river names that contain the nucleus is-, like German
river name: Isar, Albanian Ishm < Isamnus, Dardanian Istrina, etc.
So, my opionin is that in this row may takes part also Dnister.
About its origin I am afraid that are much works to be done or maybe
someone may have answer.
