Cuadrado:

The only IE cognate with Egyptian Ab (3b, but probably better *jjb) is Sanskrit ibha-h..

There is Egyptian jb3, 'Barbary sheep', which may be cognate with German Eber (cf. Thracian ébros, 'buck').

One question
Can we make a parallel between the Celtic word EBUROS  (Wild boar)
And the Latin word EBOREUS (of ivory) from EBUR/EBORIS
The Celtic world designs an animal with tusk
The Latin word designs the tusks forma animal

I've found this terms to translate EBUROS
Manx Purr.
English Boar.
German Eber.
French Verrat from Latin Verres ( ?).
French dialectal Berri
Dutch Beer.
Romanian Vier.
Sanskrit Emusa (God boar)

But look this links
http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?search=IVORY&searchmode=none

The Latin word seems to come to Phenician or  Egiptian word "Ab" =
Elephant

Strange ?
