Don't take that Kortlandt's demonstration of awareness at face value.
Actually, Dauks^a's accentuation is very inconsistent and demands
much of a skilled effort to interpretate, so it's a bit unfair of him
(Kortlandt, that is) to just pick up a handful of forms that support
his pre-conceived views and ignore tones of those that doesn't. I've
studied _Postilla_ myself (and read Skardz^ius' _Dauks^os
akcentologija_), so I know what I'm talking about.
