The word for "sun" was probably an l/n-stem (*sah2wo:l, G.
*sh2wéns). Latin so:l comes from the forms with -l-,
English sun from the forms with -n-. The transformation to
-ijo- or -ija: stem is seen here also outside Baltic:
Sanskrit sú:ryas < *su:lijos, Greek hé:lios < *sa:welijos,
etc. Slavic has maintained both /l/ and /n/ in sUlnIcé <
*s(h2)uln-ikóm).

I don't know. There is also the opposite in Lith. na~mas <
*domos.

The OCS form is still nom. kamy (< *h2akmo~), acc. kamenI (<
*h2akmenm.) The metathesis *h2ak- > *kah2- in Slavic is
irregular.
