Because of this and other criteria, it has been speculated (if
"concluded" is too strong) that Istroromanians' dialect has its
origin in the DR one of the Transylvanian+Banat kind (namely
that the migrated thither coming from what's now SW Romania and
NE Serbia).

PS: It could have been that n-rhotacizing people were exposed
to catching a cold, to sinusitis, to influenza and the like
more than the average of the rest of their kinship. A new field
of speculation. :-))
