Actualy Svane was my source speaking about "same words loaned by Albaniand
and Romanians from Slavic". I don't have his book now home, so I cannot
quote the page but who have read his book will remember about this
statement.
About the mistake: Rosetti considers there are 3 layers of loans from
Slavic. Very early loans (VI-XII century), the loans from OCS after XIII
century (begining with the time Alexandru cel Bun decided to turn himself to
the Slavic Church ?), and late loans from "modern" Slavic languages (
Serbo-Croatian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Russian)
For the words between "VI-XII" century Rosetti mentions here the words which
are present in Aromanian as well (until X century, since in the XI -century
the Aromanians are already mentioned as being present in the Bizantine
Empire) and some phonetic changes as for instance the diphtongation of "o"
to "oa" as in "coasa < cosa", "coaj� < coz^a", the change of "en" to "in"
( from Slavic nasal "e~") as in "grind� < gre~da") the change of "on" to
"�n" (from Slavic nasal "o~") as in "p�ndar < po~darI)
Now, the problems with the oldest Slavic loans should be these common words
shared by Albanians, Romanians and Sout Slavs _only_. There is the
possiblity they are not Slavic at all and I don't know if on this field is
some work done after Miklosic.
Now let see see some words without methathesis:
Rom. "b�rlog"(den, lair), Slavic "brUlogU"
Rom. "g�rl�" (stream, brook), Slavic "grUlo"
Rom. "v�rf" (top) , Slavic "vrUxU"
Rom. "c�rc�" (pick-aback), Slavic "krUkU"
Rom. "g�rb" (bent), Slavic "grUbU"
Rom. "d�rz", (firm), Slavic "drUzU"
There are many curriosities in the phonetic aspect of the Slavic words such
as Rom. "o" for Slavic "a" as in "noroc"(luck) for Slavic "narokU" but I
don't intend to keep going on now:-))
