It works - you just have to keep hitting the "Next" link at the top
of the results to go further back into the archives, because it only
searches groups of c. 150 mesages at a time.
BTW - I have also gotten decent results from using Google to comb the
archives (only works on groups with public archives like Cybalist,
though).
For example - to search for messages mentioning "Romanian", do the
following Google search (type it in exactly like this:
site:groups.yahoo.com cybalist, romanian
Click to the last page of results and then click on the link that
says "repeat the search with the omitted results included" - this
adds more results.
