Gustav Lüdwig Weigand, author of the "Albanesisch-Deutsches und
Deutsch-Albanesisches Wörterbuch" (Leipzig, 1914) and "Albanesische
Grammatik im südgegischen Diealect (Durazzo, Elbasan, Tirana),
Leipzig, 1913 – was first linguist who try to deny Albanian
filiation from Illyrian. There are known his 12 thesis against
Albanian origin from Illyrian, all rejected scientifically by Eqrem
Çabej.
