The only truth is that he was very long time in prison and in the
beginning was known as story-teller.
But, his novel "Betrayal" against Yugoslav Secret Security, are many
evidences, is a book written by many authors, the only book known by
him in Albanian literature.
He have no clue nor in history, neither in linguistics and he isn't
member of any Academy, not even of SANU (Serbian Academy of Sciences
and Arts). I personally doubt that he ever graduated in any college.
Furthermore, he didn't enjoy any respect in Albanian literature,
except as minor figure.
He became very popular among antialbanian circles in Swiss, misused
his bad luck as the only capital to accuse anyone who show a little
interest or result (like Demaçi, Kadare) on Albanian literature,
history or historic linguistics.
His interview is filled with lies, for example, Çabej claims that
today's boundaries of Albanian are not the boundaries of expansion,
but of restriction and he overturned it like today's boundaries of
Albanian are not the boundary of restrictions, but of expansions.
But, I think that it is not worth even to discuss about his view in
history or linguistic, for he has, until now, no results in these
fields. He is too old to have in the future.
His fear, like the fear of all Slavic chauvinists, is that now
Albanians could ask to be respected their historic rights on their
territories, occupied by Slavs, after the Congress of Berlin.
And, if the Serbia, Monte Negro, Macedonia, Bullgaria, Greece were
extended on Albanian territories, thanks to Russian policy and help
and orthodox religion, I can't see no reason why not Albanians, not
only reget their territories, but even extend them, thanks to
American policy and help and thanks to their ancient indenity as
catholics. Fair enough!
