That's it! Unfortunately, AFAIK it appears in Germanic in German
(and in the sense "club" in Dutch) only. But I think it's fair to
characterize *ni-zd-o-, *o-zd-o, and *pi-zd- as 'ancient'
and 'belonging to a lower stratum', so I think I'll cling on to my
idea that -st in Nordwestblck names is IE *s-d-. So Segestes might
have been named from his home town.
