All IE languages have anthroponyms derived from
animals. This could be an evidence of PIE had anthroponyms like
these.
I'm trying to gather the main kinds of mentions to
animals in anthroponyms:
1) Adjective+Animal
Example: "Strong Horse", "Good Horse" (cf. Grk
Euippos), "Lean Horse" (cf. Avst K&r&s^a:spa), etc.
2) Animal+quality
Example: "Horse Strength" (cf. Grk
Hippokrates)
3) Animal + agent
Example: "Horse Tamer", "Horse Owner" (cf. Skt
Ashvapati)
The only IE language I couldn't find this
compounds was Latin. Why? Etruscan influence?
