In Greek the future morpheme is /-ee-/ ~ /-eo-/ after a sonant
(and /-se-/ ~ /-so-/ after a stop); in Sanskrit it is -is.-ya- after
a sonant (and -s-ya- after a stop); in Old Irish it reflects Celtic
*-a[s]e/o- after a sonant (and *-se/o- after a stop). Sihler gives a
fine account of it. There is no such laryngeal addition in the
sigmatic aorist.
