Does anybody know if and how following expressions
denoting the "honeycomb" could be connected? I am lost.
There is a word in Czech, having the same meaning:
"strdí". If we compared it to other Slavic expressions, we can get PS
*strIdI/strIdU. It has been compared to MidNld ro:te, röte "honeycomb", Nld raat
and G Ross(e), all < PG hruti < IE *k^rudi- ? Could it be like
that?
Then, what about these:
Latin "kerion"
Russian
"korž"
French: "rayon"
