And to back up that, they provide three quotes:

1897 'In the woozy lexicon of the church thre is no such word as
power'
1900? 'A woman gets woozy on clothes'
1927 'The man was mad. Well, he was a bit woozy'

of which the third could be interpreted to mean 'drunk'.
