I have the book, but it's been a long time since I read it. I'll re-

According to Abaev, acts as an intensive (<æcæg> 'real(ly)' can act
as an intensive function word in Ossetic). A legal grammatical
category, isn't it?

At any rate, my question was more about <allon> 'an Ossetian (in
folklore)'. If it's not from *a:rya:na-, then what is it from?
