Yes, that's nice, but I just finished saying that even
if you want to connect it specifically with Syria, there's
still a potential tie-in with Crete, being that Minoans
appear to have traded across the entire Eastern
Mediterranean. You didn't listen to that part and seem
to be lulled by your Indian trade route idea for some
reason.
And you can't honestly rule out that there isn't confusion
of exactly where Keftiu might have lied, even amongst
people of that time. Place name confusion happens all the
time as was just mentioned in a previous post. Memphis
is now in Tennessee afterall and I just finished the
wellknown fact that "Egypt" originally denoted only a
_precinct of Memphis_. Talkin' about confusion! So you
wanna tell me that Keftiu is absolutely surely beyond a
shadow of a doubt in Syria and ONLY in Syria? Seems like
you're more sure than the facts allow. We have to expect
some deviation of usage amongst different languages. (Hell,
just thought of more confusion, this time involving the
the uses of Pelasgoi and Tyrrhenoi even within the Greek
language itself. Some interpret one way, some another.
It's a big crazy mess).
