Welcome to the wonderful word of Sendmail.
The Unix mailbox format separates individual e-mails by...,
well, it doesn't really separate them: If a line starts with
<capital F>rom<space>, it's considered to be the start of
the next e-mail message.
That's why Sendmail (a popular Unix mailer daemon) is
configured (probably by default) to search for lines in the
body of an e-mail message that start with <capital
F>rom<space>, and replaces them with ">From ".
