How about "dWentals"? :-) Of course "labialised dentals" is the correct
technical term, and it shouldn't be abbrieviated. "Labiovelar" for [kW] etc.
is technically incorrect from the point of view of modern phonetic
terminology, but at least it's a time-honoured misnomer, like "laryngeal". A
purist might insist that doubly articulated stops like [k_p] are
(bi)labial-velar rather than labiovelar (which could be construed as
describing an impossible articulation, with the lower lip touching the soft
palate).
