Interesting. I am tempted to look at dwarves as the smith gods-Their
functions seem to relate to smith(they forged many of the treasures
of the gods in norse myth, forged chain to bind fenris wolf). Also,
smith gods like Hepheastus are sometimes depicted as dwarves.
