Yes. IEW *per- (2) sub D "gebären, hervorbringen" (the connection with
forms given under A..C and E is doubtful, in my opinion).

If the root is *per-, a zero grade form *pr.-yo: should have given *porio:
not pario:. But a root *perH- could have given *pr.H-yo: > pario:. Even
though normally *r.H gives -ra:-, another possibility is -ar- (e.g. palma:
< *pelh2-mah2) . I don't know if the exact conditions for the alternation
ra:/ar (la:/al) are known, but in this case additional motivation may be
found in the fact that *pra:yo: > *pro: would have resulted in a verbal
form that is too short, and too different from e- and o-grade forms derived
from the same root (e.g. the perfect peperi: < *pe-porH-).
