Møller reconstructs Pre-IE-Semitic *k-H-b- 'take' > PIE *ka:p- and
> 'Ursemitisch' *K.-H-p- or *G.-H-p- in eg Arabic gaHafa 'he took
away, carried away, removed the whole of it'. If we understand that
instead as loan from the old Mideast NE Caucasian language into both
language groups, we have a donor language for PIE, most likely in
the '/a/-poor' stage.
