Pokorny derives _duháti_ and _dógdhi_ 'milk' (so I suppose the
Sanskrit root is _duh_) from *dHeugH 'touch, press, milk' (root
#417). It's *gH, not g^H. The only English congante I can think of
is 'Pentateuch', from Greek _teukhos_ 'tool, vessel'.

Pokorny derives it from *leudH (root #1187) 'grow up, ascend', which
some would gloss as 'grow up, people, free'.

Unlikely, and obviously not immediately as you thought.

From Satarostin's scaning in of Pokorny, I would say Pokorny says it
does. Pokorny give "Npers. ro:g|an '(ausgelassene) Butter'" as one
of its derivatives (root #1628).
